These are some pictures from the scene’s Jake did in the film “The Kane Files.”  He was one of the police dogs, and was in quite a few scenes.  I had such a blast working with him and the actors, it was such a great experience.  It will look so good on my website, too.  Enjoy the pictures!

Newest house info

Well, Alan and I decided that it would be better for us to not get the house in Spanish Fork.  We could afford it, but we would just be cutting it really close each month, and we would rather have extra money to save, instead of barely making it each month.  We’re going to keep looking to try and find something that will suit us better, but for now we’re staying in Eagle Mountain.

Since we couldn’t get the house, and since we don’t own the house we’re in right now, I can’t get a kennel license here in Eagle Mountain.  So we are currently illegal with our dog number, and our neighbors are so ridiculously crazy, they call the cops on us even if our dogs are off leash in our own yard (which is perfectly legal).  So, instead of risking getting a dog or two taken away from us, we are now trying to find a home for Bullet.  As much as we love him, he’s the dog we’ve had the shortest, and the one that we’re the least attached to.  If you know of anyone that may be interested in him, have them contact us.

House

Alan and I have been house hunting for the last few months.  We really hate our neighborhood, and how far away Eagle Mountain is away from everything.  It’s a very pretty city, but just isn’t worth it.  Plus, our once secluded neighborhood now has about 50% more houses than it did when we moved in April.  Bleh.  Anyway, we think we have found the perfect house.  It’s in Spanish Fork, and the owners that are selling it are very flexible and willing to do owner carry financing.  Basically, when you buy a house with that method, we would take over the current loan they have and pay on that for 5 years until we can get a loan of our own.  It’s a really really nice house, and perfect for what we need.  Plus, we will be able to take all of the dogs there, which is even better!  To see pictures of the house you can click here and it will take you to their blog that they have set up about the house.

We will be meeting with them the beginning of next week, and will be trying to get things worked out so we can move in there.  If things do work out, we will be able to move in at the beginning of November.  We’re very hopeful!

Camping

Last weekend Alan had a three day weekend from work, so we decided to go camping.  We went up to a camp site above Payson Lakes with Sasha and Rosco.  It’s was a nice cool weekend, and there was only a few people up there, so it was nice and quiet.  I love camping, and it was no nice to just get away for a weekend, not have to worry about anything, and to just relax.  We didn’t really do anything exciting while we were up there, just sat by the fire, and played games in the tent because it rained.  I did find a cute little baby mouse, though, and held it for a little bit.  He was a sweet little guy and was very friendly.  Below are just a few pictures of the trip.

Pets

I’m sure many of you only think we have five dogs and that’s it, but you’re wrong!  We also have an amazing Siamese cat, and an adorable Teddy Bear Hamster.  The cat’s name is Vito (picture below).  Alan has had him for about a year now, we bought him last summer after his cat of 18 years past away.  While Alan was sick with cancer, Vito was staying with Alan’s aunt in Provo.  We really didn’t get to raise him much from a kitten like we wanted, because we were always at the hospital, but his aunt did a good job of raising him into a good, loving kitty.

The hamster’s name is Scooter.  I got him on the winter sometime.  I had always had some sort of rodent while I was growing up, and it felt really weird to not have a cuddly little animal hanging out on my shoulder, so one day I wen to Petco and got him.  He’s a real sweet hamster, never bit a sole, and is always fun to hold.  He rarely has “accidents” while you’re holding him, either, which is definitely a good thing about him!

Of course, along with the cat and the hamster we have our five amazing dogs: Bullet (Bull Terrier), Daddy (Pit Bull), Rosco ( Chocolate Lab), Sasha, and Jake (both German Shepherds).  In case you’re wondering, yes they all do get along!  What kind of dog trainer would I be if my pets didn’t get along?

New TV

For the past few weeks Alan and I have been looking to sell his old tv (that huge big screen, that took up a lot of room), and then we wanted to use the money to buy a new one.  Well, we finally sold his old tv!  We didn’t get much for it, we got $200 (asking for $500-$600), but the guy also traded Alan a $300 hand gun, so we technically got what we were asking for it.  With only $200 to spend on a new TV, we knew we’d have to save up something just to get a decent one.

About a week ago, we were bored one night and wanted to just go look around Best Buy to see what they had.  We definitely got lucky that night, because they had a sweet deal!  Best Buy was running a deal where if you signed up for one of their in store cards (sorta like a credit card, but you can only use it there), then you can get 18 months with no interest on the card, plus the card holds $770 bucks.  After thinking about whether or not to sign up for the card, we finally caved.  So now, with $970 bucks to spend on a new tv, we went searching for the right one.  We almost immediately found the tv we wanted.  A 50″ Samsung Plasma HDTV, for only $950 bucks!  You can only imagine how much Alan was drooling over this beauty.  We bought it and brought it home that night.  Boy do we love this thing.  We definitely need to arrange a little get together to show off this awesome TV.  I have a picture of it below, but I took it with my phone, so the TV doesn’t look as big and awesome as it really is.

For our honeymoon, Alan and I went and stayed at a cabin in Coalville with the dogs.  We got there Saturday afternoon, and relaxed most of the day.  That evening we did take the dogs up the mountain for a hike, and they had a blast romping in the tall grass and playing in a nearby canal.  We spent all day Sunday in Park City.  We went shopping at the Outlet stores, saw a movie, went to lunch, and walked down Main Street.  When we got back to the cabin that evening we built a nice fire in the back and relaxed in the hot tub.  It was a really fun and relaxing weekend, even though the dogs were there with us too.  I have all the pictures we took listed on Facebook, but there are a few below as well.

Now Introducing….

Bethany Barnes Tracy!  That’s right everyone, I’m finally married!  Alan and I got married Friday May 29th, 2009.  It was a wonderful evening.  My brother Spencer did my hair and make up for the big day, and did an awesome job.  Lots of friends and family came to support us and celebrate with us.  We are extremely excited to start a life and family together!  Thanks to everyone that came and showed their support for us.  I will try and get pictures of the big day up as soon as possible.

Jake’s New Love

A few days ago I was doing my weekly dog wash, going through each dog, brushing them, bathing them, and then blow drying them dry.  I always leave Jake for the last, because I HATE bathing Jake.  I could brush him for hours and get nowhere with his shedding.  Well, I brushed him for about 30 minutes, bathed him, and then blow dried him dry.  Of course, as I was blow drying him hair was flying everywhere.  I decided to try vacuuming him to see if that would get most of his hair off.  To my surprise, he loved getting vacuumed!  He sat there and rubbed every part of his body that he could on the top of the hose, and when I stopped he pawed the hose trying to get it to turn on again.  What a goofy guy.  I was surprised, because when he was younger it was impossible to even get him near the vacuum.  Gotta love dogs and all the great stuff they do.

Any Advice?

So, everyone remembers Harley, right?  That rottweiler I had for about three months.  Well, his owner owes me $850 bucks for training him.  It’s been four months and her deadline to pay me is tomorrow, the 30th.  I just spoke with her and she claims that she has had the flu for about a week and will be unable to pay me by tomorrow.  After all of her failed attempts to “pay me” I was not surprised.  I simply just told her that she should have been prepared and I expect full payment tomorrow.  Our deal is that if she doesn’t pay me by then, then the bill will then be $3,800 ($1,200 for the initial 4-week board and train I did for her, and then $50 for every day after those four weeks that I had him) and I will have to take her to court.  This whole situation is really bothering me.  I’ve never dealt with someone so freaking irresponsible in my life.  Do any of you have any advice or thoughts that could maybe help me deal with this situation a little better?  I’ve talked to dad about it a bit, but it’s hard because he’s gone so much.  Any advice is greatly appreciated, I’m frustrated out of my mind about this.  And before I get any lecture comments about it, no I did not have her sign a contract which is where I messed up big time.  But I have sent many emails to her with deadlines and instructions about payment, and she responded to those emails, so I can prove she was fully aware of the payment that was due.

The Rings

Here’s a picture of each of our rings.  We just ordered them and don’t have them yet, but just so everyone can get the idea.  They’re both Titanium Tungsten rings, the strongest rings around.  We’re really excited to get them!

Is all of the presents!  Okay, that’s not really the best thing, but it’s definitely a plus!  We’re registered at Target now, so if you’d like to grab us something you can click here and it’ll take you to our registry page.  You can pick out stuff and buy it right there online, or pick it our and go to a Target nearest you to pick up whatever you’d like.  Please include gift reciepts with your gifts guys!

Wedding Date

Alright, we have a final date for the wedding: it’ll be held May 29th.  We are going to be holding it at White Willow in Provo.  The ceremony will most likely be around six, and the reception will be around seven.  We can only fit about 95 people at the ceremony, so don’t feel bad if you don’t get invited!  Don’t hold me to the times, because they may change, but the date is for sure!  I hope most of you guy can make it!

Moving

Well, I’m finally doing it for good, I’m moving out of mom and dad’s house.  Woo!  Now then, I am moving in with Alan and his friend john, and Alan and I are getting married around May 9th.  Family: please, no lecturing, or arguing to me about it.  If you want to talk I suppose we can, just give me a text or something; although I really don’t want a ton of calls coming in, best thing you can do is just accept it and move on (cause I know quite a few of you are rather disappointed).  We are then planning on getting sealed in a year.

It’s an awesome four bedroom home in Eagle Mountain (one of the only cities that will allow 4 dogs), and it’s only 1099 a month, not too bad when it’s split 3 ways!  We are even trying to get someone to rent out the basement (it’s more house than the three of us really need) so that will probably bring rent down to like $250 for the three of us, which would be awesome.  Alan and I are trying to get the owner to do rent to own, because we really like the house and neighborhood.  Anyone is more than welcome to come and check the place out, just give me a jingle and I’ll give you directions.

We’re definitely excited to be living there!  We love the house and we think we’re going to have a blast with movie nights and shtuff.  Maybe once we actually get a kitchen table we’ll invite everyone over for dinner or something.

Texas RoadHouse

Last night was my friend Jake’s birthday (no, not my dog).  Alan, Angela, Jake and I all decided to go up to Sandy to celebrate.  We went to this awesome steak place called Texas RoadHouse…. oh my heck it was to die for.  I got a sirloin and BBQ chicken.  The chicken was alright… but I couldn’t really focus on it, because my sirloin was so fetching good!  I had to eat it slowly to savor the juices… ahhh.  Definitely one of my new favorite restaurants.  It wasn’t too expensive either, I was pretty surprised.  Of course, there were some pricey things on the menu, but overall it was fairly cheap.

After the awesome dinner we went to the theater at Jordan Commons to see “Knowing.”  This movie has Nicholas Cage in it, and a bunch of other actors I’ve never seen before.   Basically it’s your classic end of the world movie, lots of edge of your seat action, and definitely keeps you on your toes.  It was an extremely well put together movie!  In my opinion, it was someone’s version of how the world was going to end, and I thought, in some way it was extremely accurate.  Just go see the movie and you’ll see what I’m talking about, then let me know what you thought.  It’s PG-13 for action violence (a lot of natural disasters, so people die), other than that there’s almost no swearing, and nothing sexual in the movie.  If you get scared easy, you might want to prepare for it though!

Wins: 2, Losses: 2

Last night was an extremely fun game.  We only had four girls, so I asked a bunch of friends from high school to come guest play with us.  One of my friends plays for Utah State, she’s a freshman and freaking starts.  She’s so good!  There were a few other guest players there as well, so we had a full team.  I really felt bad for the team we played because we spanked them.  The score ended up being 18-5… I felt bad and had to let a few in the goal.  I think even if we hadn’t had all of those guest players and it was our normal team we still would have done very well.  The team we played just got frustrated way to easily and couldn’t keep their cool long enough to control the ball.

Wins: 1, Losses: 2

Last night was the third game of our season, and we were down at least four girls.  We were low on subs, and only had one guest player.  The other team we played had at least 15 girls… it was ridiculous.  Although we were incredibly short on girls, I thought we played extremely well.  It was a very close game, but we lost 3-2.  I think we could have easily won or tied the game, but we just had no intensity the last five minutes of the game… it was really frustrating.  Hopefully next game will be better.

Here’s my schedule for this season:

- Mar 6th @ 8:25 pm

- Mar 13th @ 9:55 pm

- Mar 27th @ 5:10 pm

- April 3rd @ 6:10 pm
